The Application Development Process

• Needs Assessment - At this point in the application development process, we sit down with you to discuss your current and possible future business needs. We then work with you to determine how those needs might best be met by a hosted software solution developed by MediaJolt.
• Planning - Taking the knowledge gained from the needs assessment, we develop a list of features to be required by the application. We then discuss this list with you and make revisions as necessary until a final list of features is determined.
• Technical - At this point in the application development process, the finalized list of features is reviewed, and the methods by which those featured might best be deployed (from a technical aspect) are determined. Topics to be discussed include: database schema design, server requirements, and bandwidth needs.
• Creative - Once all technical issues have been discussed, and appropriate solutions determined, we move on to the creative phase of the application development process. During this phase, we determine how to create the best end-user experience possible.
• Prototyping - Production begins on an early version of the application. During this phase, intensive feedback from the client is encouraged. Should changes be required, those changes are implemented, and the application is sent back to the client for review.
• Final Production - After all parties involved are pleased with the appearance, functionality, and stability of the prototype, the project moves into final production. During this phase, minor changes are made, when necessary, to improve upon the overall feel and functionality of the application.
• Deployment - During this phase, the application is deployed on the Internet for business use.
